Hi Joshua I know several people who're interested in this. I slowly working on translation of Mahout in Action examples to Clojure (https://github.com/alexott/mia-clj), and hope, that using these examples, as a base, we can build "clojurish" bindings for Mahout.
I think, that some basic building blocks for ML could be also found in Incanter project...
