See Daniel's post where he fixed my contrieved micro-benchmark and showed that testing on Boolean-equality in `if` slows that down about a factor of 20. > Something one can live with, but a wart nevertheless. Well, since even the Boolean JavaDocs say "it is rarely appropriate to use this [the Boolean(boolean)] constructor", I don't think it's worth a slowdown.
