For my work, languages are only useful if they run on the JVM *and* can interoperate so I can mix libraries written in multiple languages and choose the "best language" for each part of the system. It's why I've been mixing Groovy and Scala into projects over the last 2-3 years and it's why I want to be able to mix Clojure in as well. It's why people bothered to create JRuby and Jython etc. It's why I didn't pursue Erlang (although I'm keeping an eye on Erjang...). We're all different and have different needs in languages. -- Sean A Corfield -- (904) 302-SEAN Railo Technologies, Inc. -- http://getrailo.com/ An Architect's View -- http://corfield.org/ "If you're not annoying somebody, you're not really alive." -- Margaret Atwood -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Clojure" group.
