That's probably true, but you just argue why this inconsistency in Java is not overly severe. But this is no argument for not fixing this inconsistency. Remember, it would only need to change 2 or 3 lines in PersistentStructMap, which is less than the lines I have to fix in my clojure code for only one single instance of this problem.
