I was hoping that we could piggy-back on one of Java's packaging systems, so our programs can depend on Java libraries just as easy as Clojure libraries. And in this regard, the Maven repository system is pretty popular and even supported by build tools other than Maven (such as Ivy, Buildr and Gradle).
