I'm using Mail.app on Mac OS X and had never problems sending attachments to the group. However Google Groups seems to be rather cheesy. I didn't have so many problems with a mailing list since ten years ago. It breaks lines giving ugly formatting. Sometimes messages take hours up to a day to show on the list or the web interface. Resulting in double posts, because the author doesn't know: did it work or not? The web interface sometimes goes completely banana. It allows attachments only via mail. So I wouldn't be surprised if Google Groups has some cheesy setting behind the scenes which makes your attachments go away. So the tip with the MIME type might be a good idea. Sincerely Meikel
