As far as I know, as yet there's been no update to the current release
candidate. There have been a couple of contributions on the list very
recently (the last day or two) which I guess you've seen. There seem
to have been a few issues building 0.104 - more about cmake than about
ClamAV itself. I haven't seen anyone say that there's been a problem
with the package once they've built it, but then again not many people
will have built it.
I built the 0.104 executables to check that I could build using cmake.
It took a bit of effort. I haven't personally run any of them after I
built them - I didn't even run the install step, and I don't plan to
until after the first full release.
If so, how about a URL to get the tarball?
I'm sure it will be announced here on the list, and in the blog:
https://blog.clamav.net/
The (first?) release candidate was announced in the blog on July 22
and it estimated that it would be 2-4 weeks from the release candidate
to the full release.
AFAICT from NEWS.md there isn't a lot new in version 0.104 apart from
the change in the build system. If you're not familiar with the build
system, and hacking it to get it to do what you want, I'd suggest that
0.104 probably isn't ready for you just yet.
Others and me have reported some problems. Not with using cmake, but
with clamav and tests handling links. I tested the entry from git this
morning, but it is still not solved.
