Look on the WIKI. Doing a Local Mirror (under mirror). I've done this due to PCI Compliance restrictions and not letting any, but "excepted" hosts get to the internet freely... even then only allowed hosts. Just make sure you do "unscripted" so it just downloads the signatures in full from you local web-server. One tip, the files need to be on the ROOT directory of the webserver to work properly. (for example for the daily file: http://some.host.local/daily.cvd ) I used the clamdownloader.pl to update my local definitions. Other than grabbing the files to be local, its just a matter of getting the clients to look at the proper location. For my clients all being Linux, I can just configure them... you might have to define a "database.xx.clamav.net" (xx == country code) to resolve to be your webserver. This part is unknown to me, since I've never done support for the Windows client or even the OSX client. > Thanks > John > _______________________________________________ > Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net > http://www.clamav.net/support/ml -- greg folkert - systems administration and support web: donor.com email: g...@donor.com phone: 877-751-3300 x416 direct: 616-328-6449 (direct dial and fax) "Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely." -- Auguste Rodin _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://www.clamav.net/support/ml
