Thanks Edwin, My bad :^( I had forgotten that I had moved my downloads folder to a disk that is mounted with noexec privileges. I had done that on purpose to prevent any malicious software from auto executing after downloading. Once I moved it to my working directory, configure does run. I am at work right now (ssh'd into my home computer) so I did not allow it to finish processing. Once I get home this afternoon I will run it and post results.
