What I did, and I've only whitelisted one signature, is to create a file
called "local.ign2" in the clamav database directory, making sure it was
readable by clamav, and in it just put the name of the signature to
ignore (whitelist).  So, from the shell, it looks like:

% cat local.ign2
Sanesecurity.Junk.5154
%

Not sure if that helps or not, but it is how I solved a problem I had
(a way too general rule that triggered on base64 encoded text).
