A ClamXav user asked why there are three different totals for the number of virus signatures.
I was able to explain why the number on your home page differs from the total that freshclam gives (the former does not include the currently ten signatures in bytecode.db) but I could not explain why the freshclam number differs from the results of a scan. For instance, earlier today I observed the following: Web Page: 829543 Freshclam.log: 829553 Scan.log: 829530 Where did the other 23 signatures go? He also claims that this was not true in 0.96.1, but I haven't tried to verify that.
