I'm an ardent admirer of clamav, and will stay with it if humanly possible. However, I am in a situation where I have a minimal server with plenty of resource to run mail and web services, but not clamd as well... memory restrictions mainly. So I'm stuck in this situation, with a clamd server at the same dc, but connecting over tcp port 3310 just times out. I've sent the requestor a tcpdump ( brave man and thanks! ), but am not too thrilled at posting it publicly, as in anonymizing it I will probably screw something up. My real worry is others mentioning that they have the same problem, and a deafening silence from the management...
