I have been using Clamav for the last 4 years and have yet to experience the
problem I am seeing now.

I just upgraded to 0.95.2 and clamscan is still saying it is 0.93.3

As per upgrade instructions I first uninstalled 0.93.3, removed the old
directory, and then installed 0.95.2....same for years with no problems.

I looked in the FAQ and followed the advice there. Here are the results:

mail:~# whereis freshclam
freshclam: /usr/bin/freshclam /etc/freshclam.conf /etc/freshclam.conf~
/usr/X11R6/bin/freshclam /usr/bin/X11/freshclam
/usr/share/man/man1/freshclam.1

mail:~# whereis clamscan
clamscan: /usr/bin/clamscan /usr/X11R6/bin/clamscan /usr/bin/X11/clamscan
/usr/share/man/man1/clamscan.1

mail:~# ldd `which freshclam`
        linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xffffe000)
        libclamav.so.4 => /usr/lib/libclamav.so.4 (0xb7eec000)
        libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7ed8000)
        libresolv.so.2 => /lib/tls/libresolv.so.2 (0xb7ec4000)
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7eb2000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7d7a000)
        libgmp.so.3 => /usr/lib/libgmp.so.3 (0xb7d49000)
        libclamunrar_iface.so.4 => /usr/lib/libclamunrar_iface.so.4
(0xb7d46000)        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f8b000)
        libclamunrar.so.4 => /usr/lib/libclamunrar.so.4 (0xb7d3a000)

Any reason why libclamav.so.4, etc. did not upgrade to current?
Am I reading this correctly?

Thank you,
Steve
