Brand new install of RHEL5.3 for a mail server. Installed the following
packages:

clamav-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm
clamav-lib-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm
clamav-data-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm
clamav-filesystem-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm
fedora-usermgmt-0.8.91-1.el5.noarch.rpm
fedora-usermgmt-core-0.8.91-1.el5.noarch.rpm
fedora-usermgmt-default-fedora-setup-0.8.91-1.el5.noarch.rpm
fedora-usermgmt-shadow-utils-0.8.91-1.el5.noarch.rpm
clamav-milter-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm
clamav-milter-sysv-0.95.1-1.el5.i386.rpm

Did not install a clamav-milter.conf so I copied the example below and then ran
freshclam and clamconf

http://svn.clamav.net/websvn/filedetails.php?repname=clamav-devel&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fetc%2Fclamav-milter.conf&rev=0&sc=0

I get the following error:

Starting clamav-milter: clamav-milter: unrecognized option
`--pidfile=/var/run/clamav-milter/clamav-milter.pid'
ERROR: Unknown option passed
ERROR: Can't parse command line options
                                                           [FAILED]

I cant find any solutions to this online.

The pid file line is commented out in the conf file.

ALSO: Previous installs had clamd running as a service under RH. Is this no
longer the case?

Thanks in advance,
Rich
