Appologies for top posting - it seems to be curse of this blackberry. Steve - there is a free proxy you can run that will do round robin redirects. It is a very lightweight process. The commercial version is multithreaded but pricey. Google "balance proxy" and have a look. I frequently use it to mock up firewall NAT solutions. The objective is to avoid the heavier weight httpd with a php and possibly MySQL burdon.
Another possibility is to use DNS round robin which is very low impact. I can offer DNS services if you'd like to give it a try. Perhaps others here can add there services to create a robust DNS farm. I can't provide signature services as my own colo has gotten too expensive for band width. I'm basically thinking that the problem is because I'm using a shared web host package... and should be using a dedicated server host, due to the number of users running the url script?? Sorry this is rushed... currently doing my normal day job :) Cheers in advance for any help, Steve Sanesecurity _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://www.clamav.net/support/ml _______________________________________________ Help us build a comprehensive ClamAV guide: visit http://wiki.clamav.net http://www.clamav.net/support/ml
