gcc 4.0.1 caused configuration failure with PR bug 28045 Bypassed with CFLAGS='O0' and installed successfully on Macintosh PowerPC G4 (10.4.11).
make check returned no errors. freshclam log showed the following entries: Database updated (397476 signatures) from database.clamav.net (IP: 193.1.193.64) Clamd successfully notified about the update.
