can u check if you have the same errors like me last night? For me it looks like there was an error connecting to the update servers, an incomplete incremental update and an failed full download of the main.cvd. therefor the clamd quits, cause it doesnt have any valid definitions. today morning i restarted all services and all working again. Cause the freshclam update is every hour, it doesn't make sense to reload clamav any later, i think. Only solution i can imagine is a local mirror in your network which only "sync" the actual package to the productive tree, if the local testinstall works. Should be done an ~30 lines bash script. I hope that helps a bit.
