Hi, I'm new to clamav and have some questions on the updating system :
- will freshclam handle exceptions on broken pattern updates? (i.e. will it restore the previous patterns and restart clamav when a new update is erroneous?) - What will happen when I disable the 'ScriptedUpates' option in freshclam.conf? Will I still get the latest pattern versions as with this option activated? So the only difference is that with this option desactivated I will have to download the full daily.cvd file instead of a small diff file? - according the info I found on the wiki/docs & mailing list, currently the daily and main.inc database system is used as pattern updates due to high load problems on the update servers. I read on the mailing list that it isn't possible anymore to get the pattern version (main and daily) with a single command (as with the sigtool cmd). Perhaps it is a good idea to add an option to the freshclam daemon to ask the pattern versions since it already knows this info, for example '--list-pattern-version'. This would be very usefull.
