The design is very very difficult to change for many
reasons that r irrelevant.

We do that too. The think is that the "remote site"
has not trusted users who use/run third party
software/malware which infects the remote system.
Unfortunately we cannot control these users. The only
way is to install an anti-virus on the remote site,
which we already have but doesn't have an automated
daily update procedure, which of course makes it a
little bit useless. This is why we r searching for a
solution described on this thread...
