Try without experimental. I have a similar set-up (Sun Sparc Ultra 2s, Solaris 8, gcc 4.1.1) I was running 0.90rc3 with --enable-experimental and things were running, but when I upgraded to 0.90 itself clamav-milter would die within seconds. I backed down to rc3 and didn't get to try anything again until tonight.
