I recently installed a Squid proxy server for one of my customers. We
would like to wedge in ClamAV for scanning and looking over the
selections of open source software for this, I decided to try out
SquicClamAV by Gilles Darold.(http://www.samse.fr/GPL/squidclamav/)
Unfortunately, it's doesn't appear to be working and I am not sure where
to start. When I re-configured Squid, I see in ps, Squid and
squidclamav and clamd running. But I have no logs that would indicate
anything is being scanned. I tried via /tmp/clamd and also via port
3310(after reconfiging both clamd and squidclamav). I tried to push the
EICAR file through squid and to try to test if clamav is actively
scanning and since I cann't get it blocked, I assume I am not scanning
anything.
I can post my config files here, but wanted to ask first and if someone
is willing to look, I can post or email those configs.
