ClamXav or as you call it "clamAV sentry app" has nothing to do with your
Vuescan software.  I don't see why you think they would interfere.

ClamXav is just checking periodically a list of files/directories you specified,
and if it finds that one of those files/contents of directories has a virus it
will alert you.  That's it, no interference.
