The Permission are absolutely fine . Infact with the same setting The Mail
server was running -
Is there any LOG file - which i can enable to see - why CLAM dies as soon as
it is started ??
Last time i was trying to configure CYRUS SASL . ( SMTP - AUTH ) does it
have to do any thing with it ?
but even so - i have re-complied the sendmail with old settings with which
it was runing Fine.

(1) Be careful about the user setting in ClamAV.
(a) Check the permissions on your antivirus databases for clamav?
(b) If needed, change the user for freshclam.conf.
(c) Restart all applications after fixing the problem.
