I am trying to install clamav-0.80 on Redhat Linux 9,
sendmail 8.13.

I am following installation as per docs on web site.
using
###########
bzip2-devel-1.0.2-8.i386.rpm  clamav-0.80.tar.gz
sendmail-devel-8.12.8-9.90.i386.rpm
##########
as suggested in the list.
compiling with
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc --enable-milter
make
su -c "make install"

No error.
Then command
"clamd"

then changed sendmail.mc file as follows.
##########
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`clmilter',`S=local:/var/run/clmilter.sock,
F=, T=S:4m;R:4m')dnl
define(`confINPUT_MAIL_FILTERS', `clmilter')
########

Checked entry in clamd.conf of the form as follows:

        LocalSocket /var/run/clamd.sock

When I try to Start clamav-milter I get following
error :
##########
/usr/local/sbin/clamav-milter -lo
/var/run/clmilter.sock

[EMAIL PROTECTED] clamav-0.80]# /usr/local/sbin/clamav-milter
-lo /var/run/clmilter.sock
/var/run/clamd.sock: No such file or directory
Can't talk to clamd server via /var/run/clamd.sock
Check your entry for LocalSocket in /etc/clamd.conf

#####

I tried to locate "/var/run/clamd.sock". it is not
present. But I ckecked that in "/etc/clamd.conf".
Any clue appreciated for going ahead.
Thanks.
