Good news bad news time - running slackware 10.0 plus security patches and
downloaded clamav CVS tonight.
Configured as such:

./configure --enable-milter
make
make install

Clamd comes up fine, clamav-milter now segmentations faults (even under gdb
- although I have no experience with this so ...)
Clamav-milter on 0.80 release edition starts fine on this system, however
after a few hours, days it falls over with nary a reason why and
/var/run/clamav/clmilter.sock is not cleaned up i.e. still exists. I
upgraded to CVS to see if this would fix the problem but it would appear
things for me have got worse.

Clamav-milter -V gives
ClamAV version devel-20041103, clamav-milter version 0.80o

I am recompiling now with
./configure --enable-milter --enable-debug as specified in the clamav-milter
man page.

May be related to the above problem.

Evan
