Hi,

As stated by the GPL, you should provide source code for a GPL executable or
library.
Could you provide me source code for the database please ?

Have a look at the GPL faq:
Can I use the GPL for something other than software?

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#TOCGPLOtherThanSoftware

In what cases is the output of a GPL program covered by the GPL too?

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#TOCWhatCaseIsOutputGPL

And here an answer in the faq you should consider for the problem of the
database and is source code.

I want to distribute an extended version of a GPL-covered program in binary
form. Is it enough to distribute the source for the original version?

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#TOCDistributeExtendedBinary

I don't want to still your job and I will add link to clam project home page
in my About window and web site.

The reason why I don't want UScanIT being GPL is because I use clam database
and also some heuristic test to decide is a suspect file is a virus or not.
This would help virus writter if they know how to be "transparent" to this
heuristic engine. They can reverse compilation but it'll be harder for them.

Sincerely,

Remi
