This has a simple solution that doesn't ruin things for all: The ClamAV vendor can offer a push of the AV patterns to paying customers with special needs. That way you will receive the updates as quickly as do the mirrors and the vendor recovers some of the cost of maintaining ClamAV. In fact, those who run mirrors could even offer this as a fee-based service which has the potential of interesting even more people in becoming mirror sites. Nothing like a little old fashion free market force for spinning up the wheels of industry. dp ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 _______________________________________________ Clamav-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/clamav-users
