We run dual scanners at work. All incoming mail first runs through ClamAV. All clean messages are then forwarded on to an Exchange server running ScanMail from Trend Micro. Last week, ClamAV caught almost 9700 infected messages; ScanMail caught zero, because they were all filtered out by ClamAV first. That pattern has gone on for weeks now. Obviously, we're very happy with the hit rate from ClamAV and it's catching 100% of the viruses we receive, not 54%.
