Howdy list, I just upgraded from ClamAV 0.60 to 0.70-rc on my 4.8-RELEASE machine. It seems to be working OK, but it's not standing up very well under stress tests.
I attempted to push a 59M email through clamd via clamdscan (all body, not attachment) and clamd has started chewing up RAM and CPU. The sending of my 59M message finally timed out: [15:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[~/mailtest]% ./testdeliver.sh test-message.txt cat test-message.txt | smtpblast -f [EMAIL PROTECTED] -r chortos.wingnet.net -t [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------ Begin Output 1 ------ D#@: chortos.wingnet.net: message rejected, deferred: 451 qq temporary problem (#4.3.0) ------ End Output 1 ------ [15:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[~/mailtest]% But my clamd is still bloated and chewing up CPU 5 minutes or so after the message timed out: PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND 43687 qscand 64 0 330M 329M RUN 14:34 41.85% 41.85% clamd Emails are getting rejected while this happens and I see this in my maillog: Mar 22 15:48:08 chortos X-Qmail-Scanner-1.21: [chortos.wingnet.net107998790747059646] clamdscan: corrupt or unknown clamd scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem - exit status 0, but no output! I'm running with ScanArchive and ScanMail (because I want the binhex feature on). -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O.
