Sorry to be un-cool and reply to my own post!

I was getting the 'Malformed CVD header detected' error with my 0.65 installation.

I just installed 0.67 and am getting the same error:

-bash-2.05b$ bin/clamscan --version
clamscan / ClamAV version 0.67
-bash-2.05b$ bin/freshclam
ClamAV update process started at Mon Mar  8 12:09:24 2004
Reading CVD header (main.cvd): ERROR: Malformed CVD header detected.
ERROR: Can't read main.cvd header from database.clamav.net (209.94.36.5)
Trying again...
ClamAV update process started at Mon Mar  8 12:09:52 2004
Reading CVD header (main.cvd): ERROR: Malformed CVD header detected.
ERROR: Can't read main.cvd header from database.clamav.net (64.74.124.90)
Trying again...
ClamAV update process started at Mon Mar  8 12:10:12 2004
Reading CVD header (main.cvd): ERROR: Malformed CVD header detected.
ERROR: Can't read main.cvd header from database.clamav.net (66.139.75.171)
Giving up...
