I know this has been discussed before, but as far as i can tell in the archives, no real resolution was found.
My freshclam had been happily working the last couple of months, but 3 days ago i started getting the "Malformed CVD header detected" error (see below).
I am using Redhat/Fedora and clamav 0.65. My mirrors.txt files has "database.clamav.net" three times on three lines. My last successful connection was on Friday March 5 an 4pm (I'm in Adelaide, Australia) so i'm guessing that is Thursday for the USA.
Would upgrading to 0.67 help me here? Do i just have to clear something out?
I am currently getting:
>-bash-2.05b$ sudo /usr/local/clamav/bin/freshclam -l >/var/log/clamav/clam-update.log
>ClamAV update process started at Mon Mar 8 11:58:50 2004
>Reading CVD header (main.cvd): ERROR: Malformed CVD header detected.
>ERROR: Can't read main.cvd header from database.clamav.net >(209.204.175.217)
>Waiting 10 seconds...
>ClamAV update process started at Mon Mar 8 11:59:16 2004
Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks for all the good work, (stopped 200+ viruses today alone, SomeFool.Gen-1)!!!
