Recently I read somewhere(this list?) about a website that can send eicar tests in different formats to an email address. www.testvirus.org.
Tried it too..
Tests 7 and 10 pass through. (but they are catched by our extension filter)
The additional tests that fail are: #17 Outlook 'Space Gap' vulnerability (Eicar virus as hidden attachment) #18 Outlook 'Blank Folding' Vulnerability 19-21 -> get received as a blank email #19 Outlook 'Boundary Space Gap' Vulnerability #20 Outlook 'Long Boundary' Vulnerability #21 Partial (Fragmented) Vulnerability #22 A file with a CLSID extension which may hide the real file extension
I don't know if this is very bad or 'okay' :), we're running on:
RH Linux 9.0, ClamAV devel-20040130, Communigate Pro 4.1.4. (clamav, okay, I will update on monday.. NOT on a friday :) )
