Yes but it's not the way I like to go... >> Just an idiot..sorry... >Please keep the discussion on a civil level. My fault, I'm sorry.. >> In my archive there also LINUX-Virii and Worms... >> And much of them will not deteced by ClamAV. >> For me personly it's senseless to send parts of my archive to ClamAV when >> ClamAV is not be able to clean the file. >> I wrote an mail to the developers of ClamAV (compare my archive with the >> archive of the developers..) but I dosn't get a response. >Sorry, but I'm unable to find your posting to the devel-list. But I do >get many e-mails and might have missed yours. The only e-mail I've seen >from you is regarding installation on OPENBSD. I didn't post at a mailinglist I wirte an e-Mail to the mail adresses I found here: http://clamav.elektrapro.com/doc/html/ >Fair enough if you wish to trade, but please accept if we decide to >decline. That's not the problem but I think I send a mail directly to the developers (using the adresses I found in the doc). I got NO answer and NO answers means for me personaly no YES and no NO. It means for me "WE/I don't care...". So I think personaly... But I will be glad If some people are ready to trade. My big-archive crashed (hdd crash like the hdd from snakebyte (read 'main')) but ther ealso many many things (and sources) wich are not deteced by ClamAV. >I'm unaware of the effort needed to develop a cleaning option, but I'm >sure that a batch of virus samples isn't the way to ask for this. Cleaning is one of the most needed functions I think. I repeat: I respect your work but if I need another AV for cleaning clam-av will be a littlebit senseless. Couse Kaspersky or Antivir (for personaly use free) could also scan e-mails and so on. I know it's hard to do such thinks (cleaning routine or take care for new signatures) but don't give up! :o) >> Old school virus-coding rocks couse the old "school boys" (which codes for >> C64, Apple2 and so on) are coding without a mass-destruction-instruction >> into the virus/worm ... >> So it was... long time ago, here in my country. I send ClamAV some Virii for these OSs. I hope they will be recognized cooming soon. :o) Don't told me "C64 isn't no longe rin use" couse I found a HowTo on the net (evn I could regonize the URL..damn) which deals about a C64 and the I-Net. It was a HowTo to make a C64 able to connect via DSL to the internet. A real funny thing.. and if I found the page again I will build the module. :o) >Sorry, but you lost me here... Ok and why? Where is the honor to code a damn Virus wich delete all the files? Some years ago people from the old school codes for a "proof of concept". To show other people "hey listen to me..it's possible!" The people I know never code for destruction.. But... Maybe I know a person which could help this project if you could give him good arguments. It's a man from the "old school".. It's just SnakeByte.http://www.snake-basket.de/contact.html You could told him that Rembrand send you but I think he can't remember me after all the years. Maybe he will give you his sourcecode of his anti-trojan (TrojanFirstAidKit - TFAK, there's a desinfection routine include). On the other hand you could take the virii from the page and add them to the VirusDB.
