Howdy list, I'm curious about a couple of things, and I figure asking the list might be quicker than reading the code:
1.) Is there any situation that would cause clamd to load a large portion of a file it is scanning into RAM? I've been watching clamd on my mailserver, and it seems to hold at about a 13M memory footprint, but I just want to verify that there aren't certain attachment types that might be treated differently. 2.) Also, how much of a given file will clamd typically load into memory during the scanning process? 3.) Is this memory pre-allocated, or is it allocated on demand?
