Hi list, If I understand correctly new virus-signatures are sent to this list. If that is the case I see no more need to trigger freshclam - to download the new signatures.
Just add the signatures in the e-mail to your current database. That way you don't need to transfer the 1+ MB file every time, serverload should be a lot less for the update servers, and you're updates are direct/faster too. Are the complete 'changes/signatures' sent on the list, or only virus names.
