I've been running clamav-0.54 + amavisd-new-20030314 + postfix-2.0.9 on a Solaris 9 (sparc) machine for a few weeks now. Everything worked like a charm, until today. It seems that clamscan chokes on certain messages, doing nothing but eating CPU time. Is it a coincidence, or could this new Worm.Palyh.A worm have something to do with it ?
my clamav section in /etc/amavisd.conf looks like this : ### http://clamav.elektrapro.com/ ['Clam Antivirus - clamscan', 'clamscan', '--stdout --disable-summary -r {}', [0], [1], qr/^.*?: (?!Infected Archive)(.*) FOUND$/ ], Maybe it's worth to mention the fact that when things stall, there are always two clamscan processes eating CPU time. I read somewhere that there is a race condition issue with clamav-0.54 that could be solved by adding --threads=0. I tried it, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. Any ideas ? -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Piet RUYSSINCK e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unix Systeem Administratie tel: +32 9 264 4733 Directie Informatie- en Communicatietechnologie fax: +32 9 264 4994 Universiteit Gent Krijgslaan 281, gebouw S9 - 9000 Gent, Belgie -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments See http://www.fsf.org/philosophy/no-word-attachments.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
