Hello,

I also experienced this Lirva problem today (2003-01-08).
The database for ClamAV-0.54 was up to date, but it didn't catch the Lirva
virus (the Windows box receiving the mail running Norton did detect the
virus).
When I checked the database at
http://clamav.elektrapro.com/database/
it says
viruses.db 03-Jan-2003 23:33 1.0M

When I check for Lirva info at Symantec:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
it says
      Discovered on: January 07, 2003
Last Updated on: January 08, 2003 12:34:48 PM

This means that the virus is newer than the virus database.
Anyone on this list is able to advice the virus database maintainer about
this issue?

Best Regards,
Johan Kuuse
