I know that this is probably a dumb question, but I need to satisfy my boss about this. Is there a possibility of corrupting files that are scanned using Clam AntiVirus or any virus scanner for that matter? I have a box set up with OpenBSD 3.2 and Samba 2.2.7a. I want to scan the samba shares using clamscan, but I need to assure my boss that we don't need to use a Windows based virus scanner for this.
By the way, I stumbled onto Clam AntiVirus while researching various virus scanners to use for an email server.
Thanks,
Sid Keller
