That is not the correct Return-Path. Either you've mis-read something, you're MUA is having a really bad day, or your mail somewhere along the line is collected by POP3 from a clueless ISP that does not add a Return-Path when delivering to your mailbox and something closer to you has had to make a best guess at the RP. And got it wrong. That was the From: header in the message to which you refer.
