Hi Raffaella, Something I just noticed that might be a clew as to what is going on with this audio is that when the sound stops in the middle of a clip the sound volume scale beside the compositor window continues to show volume moveing up and down. The volume scale on the left side of the track shows that there is no sound. I will work on getting on line tonight so I can talk these problems through. I'm afraid I would drive everyone crazzy with the slowness and errors of my my hunt and peck typing. Thanks Much, Doug

Hi Doug!

I never encountered what you describe. So I need to think a bit about
what could be the problem.

Meanwhile, you could try with IRC. This would allow you to join a group
of 20 people that 'talk' writing on a text box and pressing ENTER to
have the sentence published.
You need and IRC client (just a software). My Ubuntu has xchat-gnome
available but I like Konversation better.

My settings are already there and I can't remember in details how I
entered them. The Help of the client should teach you how to set your
nick, Network, server, channel.

Freenode irc.freenode.net
#cinelerra

Or once the client is installed, you can probably just type in the text
box:
/connect irc.freenode.net
/join #cinelerra

I learned a lot here:
http://www.irchelp.org/

Talk to you!
Raffaella
