Hi I'm using cinelerra 2.1.0svn, so the problem is when i put some effect the movie comes very slow and i lost the sync, I'm thinking to compile the cinelerra because i don't know what else can i do, my machine is a athlon xp 2000 with 1gb ram and a geforce 6200. Any light?
Hi Bruno, Your computer should be reasonable for editing, so you may just need to change some of the preferences in cinelerra to get better results. Settings/Preferences/Playback under video out make sure that "play every frame" and "decode frames asynchronously" are both not checked. Unselecting "view follows playback" may also help, and changing the video driver may make a big difference. Try both X11-XV and X11-OpenGL to see which is better. Also the codec that your source material is encoded with could be significant. You could try with DV and motion-jpeg to see if they are any better. Which effects are you using? -- goibhniu
