I honestly think this is going overboard. You have no proof that it's
Kurt's fault, or his mail client. As has been mentioned, he has test
mailed himself, and only got one copy. Looking back through his
duplicate emails, it appears the first SMTP mail server as the issue.

Kurt, can you please (for the sake of those complaining), try setting
your SMTP server in your mail client, to that of your ISP. (Your ISP
should provide you with an out going SMTP server). If you wish for
some help in debugging this problem, your welcome to email me off
list, and I'll try and help you fix it.

I honestly have a problem with people going off and getting very
annoyed when someone has a problem like this. Recommending they use
Gmail or Hotmail is not the solution, never will be, and can be more
trouble than it's worth. I'm sure anyone that's worked in a large or
small company before in IT, would know that you can not just tell
someone to drop something they have been using for years, and use
something else. For example, and yes this can still be applied today,
people on dialup who wish to have access to their emails offline,
Gmail and Hotmail are certainly not good options.

Next time something like this happens, please have some patience, and
kindly ask the user to look into the problem, and if you have 10
minutes spare time, offer that to help the user fix it. You never
know, that user you scared off with a harsh word, may just have had
the best fix for a long term problem, and they keep it to themselves
because you scared them off.

stop using the mail program and the smtp server you are using (or go

I suggest using gmail or hotmail account and there will be no more
troubles for or from you.
