switching between two or more versions of cinelerra is very easy.
to switch to other version, i just make a 

# removepkg cinelerra
# installpkg cinelerra-....

in my slackware or slackintosh. (but any other rpm or deb distro should be 
like that)

if you want two or more version of cinelerra instaled at the same it, its just 
a question of setting correct environment variables and changing some 
hardcoded paths, ..., a little more work.


I static version could be great, as emergency :)
