Ubunto is extremely easy to install and a very popular distribution.

I think that to have packages ready for Ubuntu is it is *very* important
to the growth of Cinelerra.

If there is no one else that can do it I (against my best judgement)
will volunteer myself. 

I have not mantained packages before, but I have compiled Cinelerra
several times (Both on AMD 32 & AMD 64 bit environments) and have no
problem picking up new stuff. 

So, if anyone can point me in the right direction of what needs to be
done, I will give it some hours of work every week. 

BTW, I have hardware to compile in AMD 32, AMD 64, Intel and I do have a
OpenGL NVIDIA card capable.
