Ubunto is extremely easy to install and a very popular distribution. I think that to have packages ready for Ubuntu is it is *very* important to the growth of Cinelerra.
If there is no one else that can do it I (against my best judgement) will volunteer myself. I have not mantained packages before, but I have compiled Cinelerra several times (Both on AMD 32 & AMD 64 bit environments) and have no problem picking up new stuff. So, if anyone can point me in the right direction of what needs to be done, I will give it some hours of work every week. BTW, I have hardware to compile in AMD 32, AMD 64, Intel and I do have a OpenGL NVIDIA card capable. alx. > Author: Valentina Messeri > Date: 2006-10-25 11:192006-10-25 16:19 -500UTC > To: cinelerra, Wesley T Allen > Subject: Re: [CinCVS] ubuntu package maintainer > > :) > > cinelerra compile very easy in ubuntu edgy, i can make package for > i386 architecture, but this don t solve problems.....i actually > travelling and i not ubuntu user anyway...... > > still a manteiner is needed..... > > :)))) > > Vale > > > On Wednesday 25 October 2006 10:16 am, Jeroen van de Nieuwenhof > wrote: > >> There where some people who said they are willing to make debs and > put > >> them online.
