I've been having similar problems, ever since the builds got over 7-8Mb or so, the downloads have been unreliable. And unlike FF, you cannot re-download in Chrome without clearing the cache first. But it seems someone is keeping an eye on it: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1833
