Glen,
If there was supposed to be something in the attachment you sent me, there
wasn’t/isn’t. Thanks for reaching out to me on this. I have no idea why it’s so
much trouble to load this program when:

  1.
It’s been around for a long time
  2.
Others don’t seem to have anywhere near this much trouble
  3.
Chirp should make a trouble shooting section that deals with difficulty in
loading its program to new users

I definitely appreciate you trying to help here. I’ll keep trying.
Scott

It is in the list of supported radios, and the program is the same for whatever
platform you run it in.

Greetings,

A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made
directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features,
bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it
from the following location:

  http://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/daily-20190209

A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily)
follows:

Changes for Build #551
[Dan Smith <dsm...@danplanet.com<mailto:dsm...@danplanet.com>>] Also make
ft7100 not claim that its sub devices have sub devices

This was making run_tests fully _skip_ it by drilling through all the sub
devices
to an empty list.

#6259

[Dan Smith <dsm...@danplanet.com<mailto:dsm...@danplanet.com>>] Fix
get_sub_devices() for ft7100

The sub devices should not return more sub devices. This was causing run_tests
to
go into an infinite loop.

#6259
