If you're interested in porting to Solaris 10, I suggest reading the Autoconf documentation, which talks about the various pitfalls of Solaris 10's multiple implementation of awk, sh, grep, etc. See:

Last year Oracle extended Solaris 10's end-of-support date by three years to January 2027. Evidently enough paying customers are using it that Oracle can still make money maintaining it. I had been hoping we could stop worrying about its quirks sooner than that; oh well.
