What is done with donations should be decided by the group. I know that IBM is offering bounties to fix such issues and perhaps that is a nice way for developers to make some money on the side. However, most of us actually need more arm and mips boards, of which are quite inexpensive. As it is, the test runs I do on powerpc mean very little to my target developer audience.
