Hi,

It would also help if you could add

    ceph tell mon.'*' injectargs '--debug-mon 20'

check that it is set (replace mon.a with mon.XXXX)

    ceph daemon mon.a config get debug_mon
    { "debug_mon": "20\/20"}

and check what the log have after you get

    ceph osd pool create test123 100 100 erasure k2m1
    Error EIO: failed to load plugin using profile k2m1

I think you are facing two different problems.

A) the empty default profile is probably combination of upgrading an existing
cluster (in which case maybe the default profile is not created) and the
implicit creation of an empty profile (which should not happen and has been
fixed in http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/8599 but not yet released).

B) the jerasure plugin fails to load for some reason and the mon logs should
tell us why

Cheers
