"upgrade/update do the same thing unless you've gone out of your way
to disable obsoletes in your yum.conf"
and who else can say more about yum than Mr. Vidal? :-D
Just want to point out that Seth is potentially wrong on that. He has
very little to do with yum on CentOS and is often only commenting on
whats the latest version of yum. Also as was clarified at the time of
release for 5.2, there are lots of ways in which an update and an
upgrade could give you different results.
